How a move works

Answer a few questions.

Tell us what you use now and what you want brought across. Only your name and email are required.

We reply with a plan.

The plan lists each kind of record you want moved, and where each one comes from.

We bring your records across.

Your families, students, classes, terms, tutors and invoice history come across as the plan sets out.

You start in Atrium.

Your staff sign in, check what came across, and a setup checklist on your home page shows anything still to add.

Import your student list

  1. From a spreadsheet

Save your list as CSV or XLSX, with headings in the first row.

  2. Three things per student

Each student needs a first name, last name and email. Phone, year level and preferred name can come too.

  3. Check before you import

Validate only reads through every row and changes nothing, so you can fix things first.

  4. Good rows come in

Any row that needs fixing is listed with the field to change.

Questions about switching

Where can our records come from?

From paper, spreadsheets, another system or something you built. The questionnaire asks which one you use.

Can we keep our old system running?

Yes. Run this term from it while your records come across.

How long does a move take?

It depends on how many records you have and where they live now, so the plan comes first.

Can we see what an import brought in?

Yes. Atrium keeps a history of each data import, so your team can look back at what came across.

How do we set Atrium up?

A setup checklist on your home page walks you through terms, courses, tutors, classes, students and enrolments, in order.

Who owns our records once they move?

Your centre does. We do not sell them or use them for advertising.

What happens to your records

Can we take our records with us later?

Yes. Ask for a copy through the contact page before you leave.
